National Talent Search Examination

MICE prepares students for NTSE examinations. NTSE has two levels of exams State and National. It is a one year program of 200 hours. Classes will be conducted daily after school hours or during weekend. Students who score more than 85% in Mathematics in school exams are eligible for this course.

National Talent Search Examinations (NTSE) is a flagship activity of the National Council of Educational Research and Training(NCERT). The purpose of the scheme was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship.

Subjects covered under NTSE course are General Mental Ability, Mathematics, General Sciences - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Sciences - History, Geography, Civics, Module Tests and Mock Examinations.

JEE, NEET,KVPY, CET

Joint Entrance Examination JEE

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.

Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

MICE has been training students for JEE Main and Advanced courses from year 2005. Since 2005 more than 40% of students who are undergone training in MICE has been selected in JEE Main.

National Eligibility Entrance Test NEET

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 and as amended from time to time, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana KVPY

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

Common Entrance Test

KCET also known as Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission of candidates to various Engineering, B. Pharm and Farm Science courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State. Candidates who have passed or appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC/12th standard were eligible to appear for KCET. The exam will be held for four different sessions for four subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions of KCET were based on I and II PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education State. Based on the marks obtained in the KCET and qualifying examination, the merit list will be prepared as per the category-wise vacancies.

National Institute of Open Schooling NIOS

NIOS is an Open School to cater to the needs of a heterogeneous group of learners up to pre-degree level. There is no upper age limit for admission to NIOS courses, however the minimum age for enrolment is 14 years. A student on completion of secondary course can answer the Senior Secondary Exams only after the completion of 2 years.

Flexible choice of subjects to suit the students interest and capacity. Apart from languages maximum 2 the students can choose subjects data entry, painting, Indian culture and heritage, psychology, home science, business studies, economics, social science and technology and mathematics.

Till date MICE has enrolled more than 30 students in secondary and senior secondary courses. In 2018 our student Sriram Rao was ranker AIR 1 in the Senior Secondary Category science stream. SriRam Rao choose NIOS in order to concentrate on training to write the JEE and other competitive examinations for entrance into prestigious engineering colleges.
